This trip isn't just about the fishing.

The lodges we've chosen offer some of the best game viewing in Africa and you'll be up close and personal with the lot. The best of guides will track leopards, lions and cheetah with a level of skill that involves all the senses and an intimate understanding of the environment. Elephants and hippos in their hundreds don't hide and you'll encounter them in huge numbers.

Monkeys, baboons, impala, tsessebe, kudu, wildebeest, buffalo - they're all there.

Then there's the birdlife - it's simply mind blowing. Huge birds of prey, tiny kingfishers, pure white egrets, colourful bee eaters and the stunning lilac breasted roller to name only a few.

The camps are on either the lower reaches of the mighty Zambezi River or the stunning Okavango Delta where you'll target the legendary tiger fish.

With bonecrunching strikes, aerial acrobatics, and monster teeth that can tear flesh and fishing gear to shreds, Tiger fish are possibly the most ferocious and sought after fresh-water fish on the planet.

Taking a range of surface and deep water lures and flies, Tiger Fish are on every serious anglers list. For lure fisherman they are a true test of nerve and ability.

The tigerfish is found mostly in the warmer, well oxygenated fresh waters of Southern Africa and are most abundant in the Zambezi, Okavango and Pongola river systems.

The Latin name of the Tiger fish means "Striped Water dog", and in the rivers around Zambia and Botswana hold monster tigers up to 20lb.

From May through September the water levels are at their highest and rainfall is at its lowest, and this is the ideal time to target these big brutes.

Combined with the Tigerfish fishing, nothing beats the adrenaline rush you'll get from seeing big cats and bigger elephants. Watch from your jeep as lion prides feast on buffalo kill or as cheetah cubs learn to stalk prey.
