We’re confident in saying this is the best fishing focused operation on the Kimberley Coast.

Whilst all Kimberley motherships offer opportunities to fish, few have it as their primary focus.

Reel Teaser’s crew are all qualified experts in their field and have the experience and knowledge to deliver the fishing trip of a life time.

The rock bars and snags in the rivers and creeks are prime barramundi territory.

There’s a real chance of a metre plus fish in these types of terrain as well as large numbers of fish holding in single locations.

Mixed amongst them are threadfin salmon, mangrove jack and fingermark. The crew’s knowledge from time on the water will have you in the right places at different stages of the tide.

There’s plenty to look forward to offshore as well. Giant Trevally and queenfish hold in pressure points created by big tides, golden snapper and coral trout can be jigged off structure and then there’s speedsters like Spanish mackerel. There will opportunities to drop a few pots for mud crabs and collect huge black lip oysters which are flushed by the huge Kimberley tides.

The mothership is a very comfortable 65ft Westcoaster customised for extended trips. There are eight bunks across three cabins but trips are for a maximum of 6 guests, so it’s 2 per room. The cabins, galley and saloon are all air-conditioned and a huge back deck that is an awesome fishing platform doubles as an entertainment area. The fishing boats are 5m aluminium dinghies designed to provide maximum fishing space for 3 anglers each.

Expect fantastic food prepared by the expert chef who uses fresh produce and your daily catches to produce restaurant quality meals.

Days 1 & 2: Your trip starts in Broome where you’ll board Reel Teaser at 3pm and head north for the best part of 24 hours. Some of the sight seeing to and from your fishing locations is awesome. Stunning sunsets and fantastic photo opportunities at first and last light. You’ll arrive at the Glenelg River at about 3pm on day 2. Just in time to head out for an afternoon fish and your first taste of chasing barra in the Kimberley.

Days 3 to 8: You’ll continue to fish the Glenelg for a day or two and then travel through the southern Kimberley and head to areas like Talbot Bay, Dugong Bay, Secure Bay and Doubtful Bay. These are all excellent fisheries for barramundi and all the other target species you are after. Every thing will be packed up mid afternoon on day 8 for the overnight cruise back to Broome.

Day 9: You’ll arrive back in Broome mid-morning.
