We all know that great guides deliver great trips. We’re pretty confident in saying we’ve got 2 of the NT’s best operating these barra adventures.

We’ve fished with them for more than a decade and our confidence levels always escalate knowing I’m we’re the hands of consummate professionals.

They know this part of the NT coast well and how to draw the best out of the “run-off” opportunities.

Each trip is a mix of neaps and springs to make sure you’re at each system when they are most likely to fire.

Anson Bay has produced several metre plus trophies on the springs and the Moyle and Little Moyle produce the goods on the neaps.

You’ll be at all of them at the right stage of the moon phase.

The chance of metre plus barra are real at each system and then there is those magic trees/snags that hold big numbers of solid fish. In season 2026 there were 17 barra over a metre caught with 4 over 110cms, during the 3 month period from March to May.

Guides who know all the pressure points, eddies, junctions and structure and when to be there will ensure an awesome trip.

There is also a couple of opportunities to target reef or pelagic species whilst the mothership is on the move and the tenders are out fishing.

Big Northern Mulloway and Golden Snapper will test your stamina and there’s a chance at some solid Coral Trout on the reefs.

Spanish Mackerel and Giant/Brassy Trevally are going to smack trolled lures to round out the equation.

MV Swordfish will be your floating home for the trip.

She’s a legend of an NT mothership who defies her years after being immaculately maintained by consecutive owners.

8 anglers are easily catered for across 3 cabins. She is fully air-conditioned and there are ample shower and toilet facilities.

A skipper, quality cook and hostess make up the rest of crew to ensure the whole experience is top shelf.

We’re confident in saying this is one of the best run-off barra fishing options out of all the NT offers.

Based on 8 anglers fishing 4 per boat the cost is $8,400pp.
