Jewfish, or Mulloway, are large predatory fish that can grow to mammoth proportions.

With large numbers both in the harbour and offshore, there are now some sensational ‘Jewies’ to be caught right.

Generally caught on live bait such as squid, Jewies are cunning feeders, preferring to wait for the waves or currents to bring them food. Often found lurking in deeper, discoloured or darker water, they can be extremely difficult to locate if you don’t have a grasp of tides and lunar phases.
