Rowley Shoals is made up of 3 main systems, Imperieuse Reef, Clerke Reef and Mermaid Reef. All provide awesome sport and game fishing.

They are situated 168 nautical miles west of Broome

Imperieuse and Clerke also have world class snorkelling and arguably the most perfect shelf coral on the planet.

There are nearly 700 species of fish and nearly 300 species of coral.

These atolls rise 400 metres from the ocean floor on the edge of the Continental Shelf.

Very few get to visit Rowley Shoals so as you’d expect the fishing can be spectacular.

You can:

  • Cast poppers and stick baits on the outer reef edge for giant trevally, coral trout, red bass, long nose emperor, cod, green and rosie jobfish.
  • Jig metals and plastics for dogtooth, coral trout, Spaniards and red emperor.
  • Cast at schools of yellowfin tuna that are smashing bait balls near the surface.
  • Troll for marlin, sailfish, wahoo, yellowfin tuna and Spanish mackerel. Don’t be surprised if dogtooth and GT get in on the act.
  • Flick lures around the shallows where most strikes are visual from an array of species including GT, coral trout, red bass, long nose emperor, bluefin trevally and cod.
  • Weather permitting you can also have a night session chasing broadbill swordfish

The snorkelling is world class. Visibility is frequently 60-70 metres and you’ll see literally hundreds of colourful reef fish, amazing coral displays, turtles and larger fish like humphead maori wrasse, reef sharks and friendly giant potato cod.

Each night you’ll be moored in calm and idyllic protected waters ensuring a great night’s sleep.

The mothership is a very comfortable 65ft Westcoaster customised for extended trips. There are 8 bunks across 3 cabins but groups are restricted to 6 guests so it’s 2 per room.

The cabins, galley and saloon are all air-conditioned and a huge back deck that is an awesome fishing platform doubles as an entertainment area.

There are 2 x 5 metre tenders and the fishing is done from both these and Reel Teaser.

Expect fantastic food prepared by the expert chef who uses fresh produce and your daily catches to produce restaurant quality food.

Day 1: Board Reel Teaser at about 4pm and start your cruise to Rowley Shoals.

Day 2: You’ll arrive relatively early in the morning and then it’s straight into the fishing.
